National Hoops Ministries was developed in 2004 out of the Westgate Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC USA. Director/Evangelist Mike Washer and his family began to travel across the Unites States conducting tournaments for local churches in dependence on the Lord and God has grown the ministry.

In 2010 Jonathan Washer and his family joined the ministry to oversee the External link opens in new tab or windowNational Goals division as well as conducting basketball tournaments.

 After praying for a new area to branch out into, God allowed a survey trip and first tournament in the Philippines in 2007. Robbie Asuncion became the contact person in the Philippines and quickly grew a burden for the ministry. God opened up a connection with the PBA and many other doors. Years were spent praying for a full time evangelist for this ministry and it was an answer to prayer when Amos Antonio entered the picture in 2009. After graduating from Bible College, Amos spent a year in training in the USA. External link opens in new tab or windowNational Hoops Philippines officially began full time in July of 2012.

After working for 5 years with National Hoops, Jonathan responded to a growing burden for the prisons of America and launched out with External link opens in new tab or windowInside the Lines in 2015

In 2014, on a family trip to Asia, God opened doors for the ministry in Singapore, Indonesia, India, and China. Since then, several trips have been taken and work continues to set up full time ministries in these needy countries.
