1. Connecting Churches to Their Community

Through providing the program, equipment, and personnel for evangelistic 3 on 3 tournaments
Through Teaching a Biblical philosophy of sports ministry to the local church

2. Connecting the Unsaved to the Gospel

Through providing Gospel preaching at camps, tournaments, and other sports events
Through written material

3. Connecting the Next Generation to Training

Through written material and training for discipleship
Through developing leaders and programs in other countries

Philosophy

In I Corinthians 4:7, Paul asks a very powerful and probing question…”What hast thou that thou didst not receive?” This question reminds us that our gifts, abilities, and opportunities all come from the Lord and must be used for His glory and for impacting eternity with the Gospel. Basketball is a simple tool but can be used in a powerful way to impact the lost with the Gospel. For some, basketball is a language that would connect them to those who know the Truth. We understand that basketball is just a tool, but a tool that God can use with his Word and Holy Spirit to connect people to Jesus. We have a passion to partner with local, likeminded churches both in America and around the world to use the tool that we “have received” Our desire is to provide an excellent program, equipment, personnel, and materials to be a help both to the church and to the community.

Program

The National Hoops Program includes mainly the 3 on 3 evangelistic tournament but also preaching in church services, youth group meeting and/or Christian school chapels.

3 on 3 Tournament:

National Hoops provides great prizes for the teens to compete for including:

Trophies, T-Shirts, and pictures on the website and social media
Cash prizes, gift cards and other prizes sponsored by the host church

National Hoops provides equipment transported to conduct the tournament.

National Hoops provides the staff to be involved in/assist in:

Recruiting players for the tournament
Training volunteers for the Saturday event
Setting up the tournament on location
Conducting the tournament
Special music, preaching, counseling, record keeping

National Hoops provides materials for:

Physical Promotion (signs, fliers and posters)
Social Media/Online Promotion
Planning and organizing promotion
Planning for Discipleship and Follow-up (We give out a New Testament and a Training Camp Discipleship Book to those making a Salvation Decision and provide records on all participants)

Schedule

Monday: Team Arrives
Tuesday-Friday: Team recruits
Saturday: Tournament
Sunday: Church services involvement

Costs:

Ministry Expenses: There is no set fee or official requirement for this ministry to come serve in your church. We depend on the free-will expense gift from the church to help cover the cost of travel, equipment, and normal operating expenses.

Evangelist’s Income: The income of the evangelist and his family comes from mission support and a free-will love offering taken by your church. This is not a requirement for our family to come serve with you.
